Blue Desert Series Original Paintings

🌒 Walk with me in my blue desert paintings, a way of discovery, moody darkness, and unlocking new paths.
These three paintings explore my use of shades of blue and a mix of blended and rough brush strokes.

🌕 Painting I

Explores a open desert, sacred and wind swept. An untouched space filled with light, love, and a sense of complete safety. It seems an unfinished work with broad and rough brush strokes, a place of becoming and new life.

🌗 Painting II

Explores a pathway cutting through soft, perilous sand walls that could collapse at the slightest gust of wind. The walls encroach on the path engulfing it, narrowing it, covering the path. What seems like a safe path into the desert is a deceptive trap waiting to spring. Smoother and blended blues provide a sense of depth and serenity to a dangerous situation.

🌑 Painting III

Explores a dark desert, sweeping, cold and ominous. Pictured from above a harsh scene of ridges and slopes that cut at the sky. A space of struggle and pain, climbing, and clinging to hope for day break. This desert is hard to escape and get through, but it’s a holy training ground. A place of preperation and learning.

The Blue Desert Series will be sold together and cannot be sold separately.
Painting sizes, each painting is 50 x 70 cm, acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity and a personal note from the artist. The paintings are carefully varnished to ensure paint quality.
